Grenada
signed the Mine Ban Treaty on 3 December 1997, ratified on 19 August 1998 and
the treaty entered into force for Grenada on 1 March 1999. Grenada has not
enacted domestic implementation legislation. On 13 July 2001 Grenada submitted
its initial Article 7 transparency report, due 28 August 1999, which covers the
period from 28 August 1998 to 30 April 2001. The report states that Grenada has
never produced, stockpiled or held antipersonnel mines and is not mine-affected.
Grenada voted in favor of UN General Assembly Resolution 55/33V in support of
the Mine Ban Treaty.
