Support for Mine Action
Abkhazian authorities do not make financial contributions to the mine action program.
Since 2008, the United States (US) has been the sole donor to HALO Trust’s mine clearance operations in Abkhazia. In 2011, the US contributed US$286,000.[1]
In October 2011, HALO Trust completed clearance of all known mined areas and declared Abkhazia to be cleared of mines.[2]
