New Brief - Landmines and Refugees
|
On World Refugee Day, 20 June 2013, Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor released Landmines and Refugees: The Risks and Responsibilities to Protect and Assist Victims, focused on the conditions for victims and refugees fleeing from, or into, 20 different countries contaminated by landmines and other explosive hazards, including cluster munitions; and the experiences of returnees to another five affected countries.

New Factsheets Released at Mine Ban Treaty Intersessional

A series of new factsheets were released at the May 27-30 Mine Ban Treaty Intersessional including: Mine Ban Treaty Transparency Reporting (Article 7); Mines Retained for Training and Research (Article 3); International Support for Mine Action; Mine Action Updates on Afghanistan, Angola, Cambodia and Colombia; and Physical Accessibility for Landmine Survivors.
